Case Study One

In May 2021, Ixsaan Charity Life with help some benefactor, improver and donators started new project called orphan sponsorship project intended to support the orphans not only school fees but also giving in an additional care taking benefits including health, food and clothes. Ensuring that single parenting mothers and other family care takers are able to feed them well, enroll decent schools and other needs. 

Haboon Ibrahim Jama 30years old a mother of five orphan children three male and two female in age between 8years to 1years old and the oldest child is an autism. And she lives with the children in Hargeisa Somaliland, IDP center.

Her main income was $100 coming from the last employer of her deceased husband, children were not going to school as their income does not allow to enroll schools. And this amount of money were sufficient only food, electricity, water with least and deficiency.

In addition to, one of her children have an autism problems, she was not able to take him to the hospital due to the cost even though she was willing to take him  to a specialized doctors outside of Somaliland but again their low income snatched away of that dream. 

Now the conditions has changed, she afforded to let her children go to decent formal school, a decent quranic school and have full learning packages.  In essence of that two of her children enrolled to school going to 6am morning up to 5pm and they are happy for that. This support really increased children’s morality.

Suhayb Sicid is 7years old boy, he goes to school in kinder garden section and he is now the second stage as he also gained highest scores of his first class and got gifts and present from the school management  including mushaf, drawing pens, books etc. 

Nastexo is third child, she is 5years old and enrolled the first class of kinder garden stage of her school, and also she went to Quran School in the afternoon as well. 

Sudaysi Sicid is 8years old, he is the oldest child and have an autism problem, he cannot speak at all and also his right hand s disabled hence he is unable to school at all. Using this support his mother able to take him to Addis Ababa Ethiopia, in case she may get a treatment for him but unfortunately it was not went well.  For now, all she can do is giving an extra care and taking him to physiotherapy center.

“ In the beginning, I was really willing to let my children go to school and get a decent education like the others and since our income was too tight it wouldn’t happen as per our expectations, but finally they can go to school and happy with other children learning, playing and boosting their moral. Meanwhile I had one wish which is taking my oldest child to the doctors but in regard to my poorness and lack of money it didn’t happen before. Soon after received that money, I accumulated for his five months’ $50 and managed to see the doctors. Doctors advised to keep him an open air place with less papulation but since we’re an IDP he’s still suffering.  Deeply I want  say thank you and  Alhamdullillaah  and to you every one who supports us.l”
